Enjoy the views from the Summit
The Summit Vista tour is Approx. 1 hour long. It is a tour of the City of Avalon inside and from a few scenic overlooks. It also tours part way into the interior of the Island where it stops at the summit where you get out of the van to enjoy the views. Then the tour works its way back to Avalon, and we return to the location where you boarded the tour. There is also the opportunity to see wildlife, Bison, Foxes, Deer and Eagles. The view of the wildlife is not guaranteed because they are wild, and they roam free on the interior of the island. The tour is narrated about the History, Vegetation, and the wildlife of the island.
Things to Know:
Ambulatory requirements: Participants must be able to transfer to vehicle (walk 4 steps up and down).
Advisories: All bus tours travel on steep, narrow, winding, bumpy, dusty, scenic, mountain roads. For safety, you should be in good health and free from high blood pressure, heart, back or neck problems, motion sickness, and other conditions that could be aggravated by this adventure. Expectant mothers should not ride.
Children (3-11) and infants (0-2) must be accompanied by an adult.
- Infants (2 and under) are required to have a ticket to ride USCG vessel boat tours; fare is FREE, but ticket fee will apply.
Late Policy
If you arrive late, we are not able to provide you with a refund. Our tours are scheduled to provide you with the best experience possible, and we are not able to make any exceptions if you are late. Please arrive 15 minutes early to ensure you are on time.
